This guide is for the Racers who might want to enjoy KartRider: Drift via console.
This guide includes instructions and what you need to look out for.

Note: Global/Console/Mobile service has been split off with the August 28 (PT) update, and all history from console platform use will be deleted when the service ends, currently planned for February 2025.

How to Link Guest Accounts

  • If you wish to continue using your records from Console on the PC, you can do so after linking your account to a Nexon ID through the Account Linking Page.
 

[Take Note When Linking Nexon Account]

  • You can link with a Nexon ID even if the account does not have any play information. Please make sure the Nexon ID you are linking is the one you use to play KartRider: Drift.
  • A Nexon ID already linked to another account of the same console cannot be linked
    • Example 1) Nexon ID linked to an Xbox account A cannot be linked to an Xbox account B.
    • Example 2) Nexon ID linked to an Xbox account A can be linked to a PlayStation account B.
 

How to Change Console Linked Account

  • To change the Nexon ID linked to the console, you will need to unlink the Nexon ID first.
  • Unlinking and linking the Nexon ID can be done from the website or in-game.
 

1. (Website) How to Change Linked Account

  • At the bottom of the official KartRider: Drift website is the [Account Linking] menu where you can unlink and link another Nexon ID.
 

2. (Game) How to Change Linked Account

  • Click the Unlink button in [Settings > Manage Account > Link Account] within the game to unlink.
  • The Create/Link Account screen appears when you reconnect to the game. Log in with the Nexon ID of your choice to change the linked account.
 

[Take Note When Unlinking Account]

  • Game data and purchase history is deleted as soon as a Guest account is unlinked, and cannot be restored
  • If you have created a guest account and want to link your gameplay data with an existing Nexon ID, you need to first use the [Delete Account] feature located in 'Settings > Manage Account > Delete Account'. This will delete the guest account data immediately, allowing you to link your gameplay data with your existing Nexon ID.
 

How to Change Console Racer Name

  • Racers who play on consoles have their Racer Name automatically set from their console nickname.
  • If you want to change the Racer Name, change your nickname from the console.
  • The changed nickname will automatically apply in the game as the Racer Name.
 
Xbox

The Gamertag serves as the in-game Racer Name.
The Gamertag can be changed in the Xbox console or the official Xbox website.
You can change the Gamertag one time for free, and all future changes require a fee.

PlayStation

The PSN online ID is used as the Racer Name.
The PSN online ID can be changed from the PS4™ console or the official PlayStation Network website.
You can change the online ID the first time for free, and all future changes require a fee.

 

How to Change Console Settings

1. How to Set Up Console Keys

  • The console controller button guide can be found in [Menu > Button Guide].
  • If you want to change the key settings tailored to you, you can change the settings in [Menu > Settings > Controls].
  • If you want to turn off the controller vibration, you can change the settings in [Menu > Settings > General > Vibration].
 

2. How to Set Up Cross-Platform Play

  • Console has a cross-platform play feature to restrict the platform of Racers you play with.
  • Settings can be made to play with Racers strictly on console or on all platforms.
 
Xbox You adjust your settings for cross-network play in the Xbox console profile settings.
  • 'Allow' > Play with Racers of all platforms
  • 'Block' > Play with Racers only on Xbox network
How do multiplayer games and communication work for cross-network play?

PlayStation

You can adjust your settings in [Menu > Settings > General > Cross-Platform Play].
  • Cross-Platform Play 'On' > Play with Racers of all platforms
  • Cross-Platform Play 'Off' > Play with Racers only on PlayStation Network
 

[Take Note When Setting Up Cross-Platform Play]

  • If you don't use cross-platform play, you will only be matched with Racers on the same platform, which may increase your matching time.
  • If you don't use cross-platform play, only your platform ranking will display for Time Attack and you won't be able to view the Overall/Region info.
    • Ranked racers based on the rankings of the same platform will be selected in Ranked Challenge.
 

3. Livery Display Settings Feature

  • If you prefer not to see the liveries of other Racers, you can adjust your livery display settings.
 
Xbox

The livery display settings can be changed in the Xbox console profile settings.

  • 'Everybody' > Display livery of all Racers
  • 'Friends' > Display livery of only Racers added in Xbox friend list
  • 'Block' > Hide livery of other Racers

PlayStation

  • You can choose to display or hide the livery of other Racers in [Menu > Settings > Gameplay > Display Other Racer Livery].
  • However, the livery display feature will be kept as 'Hide' if the PlayStation Network account is a child account.
 

[Take Note When Changing Settings]

  • Voice chat and livery will be disabled for underaged console accounts.
